Tiernan's Kidney's Are Holding A Grudge...or Carrie Is Sleep Deprived And Losing Her Mind

So our day has been all about the following question,

"Has he peed yet?"

Aaaah yes.  We have arrived at the "Everyone please pray for pee" stage of recovery. 
It never fails.  And I didn't always know why, but those kidneys do not appreciate the whole bypass process.  Not at all.  I have so many silly images in my head surrounding Tiernan's cranky kidneys at the moment.  Choose your favorite.

1. The Kidneys are pouting because the heart and lungs and brain always get everything!  Why do they get all the blood?  The bypass guy likes them more than he likes us.  No fair.

Can't you just see those little guys folding their arms in a huff and sticking out their lower lip and refusing to cooperate?  Come on.  It's not just me right?????

2. The Kidneys have had enough of this inequitable work environment where they are clearly underappreciated for the essential work they do each and every day and so they are going to show everyone and go. on. strike. 

Picture it. Kidneys marching around holding little picket signs and chanting, "Hell NO!  We won't go!  Hell NO!  We won't go!"

Anybody??????


Nobody.

Mmmmkay.


So, anyway.  He's not peeing.  We need him to pee.  They are doing a number of things to try to persuade The Kidneys to get back in the game. 

They worked the Lasix angle, but The Kidneys clearly were unimpressed by the lack of creativity from the medical team and pretty much laughed at everyone. 

So now the team has decided to bring in the big boys and up the blood pressure to try and strong arm The Kidneys to cooperate. 

Still no. 

Anyone who knows my Tiernan will recognize this stubbornness and you probably are not at all surprised that his Kidneys might behave in such a manner.

Well guess what Kidneys.  These docs and nurses are not at all surprised by your antics either.  So you can stop holding out on us.  Do what the song says and

Let it goooooo.  Let it goooooooo.  Can't hold it back anymoooooore. 

Everybody sing! 

You know you are totally belting out your best Elsa. 

But seriously folks. 
We need some good pee dances out there, so get to it. 

And honestly, Kids....can't we all just get along????!
